The Team
With deep experience in the OEM business, advanced engineering skills, and a keen understanding of the marine industry’s evolution, our team is uniquely equipped to drive innovation in connected boating. Today, our team consists of 25 dedicated professionals—20 experts in hardware and software engneering, and 5 in sales, marketing, and operations—operating out of our offices in Zagreb (Croatia) and Ljubljana (Slovenia).
Our Core Competence
At Sentinel, we offer full-stack, in-house development across all areas: electronics design, embedded firmware, cloud software, and web and mobile applications. Our dedicated Data team harnesses the power of machine learning and AI to provide valuable insights, enabling predictive maintenance, incident analysis, and enhanced navigation. Our hardware is meticulously optimized to meet the unique demands of the marine industry, featuring low power consumption, native NMEA2000 support, and wireless extendability. We continuously update our technology to integrate the latest advancements in smart sensors and telecommunications, ensuring that our solutions stay at the cutting edge of innovation.
Ownership and Organization
Sentinel is a privately-held company supported by venture capital funding, with headquarters in Croatia. Our main office in Zagreb hosts our management, sales, business development, and marketing teams, while our product team operates from our subsidiary, Sentinel Labs, based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. We partner with subcontractors in Slovenia for manufacturing, ensuring high-quality production standards. Our cloud infrastructure is based in Europe, with servers in Germany, Slovenia, and Finland, guaranteeing secure and efficient service for our clients.

Founded in 2014, Sentinel is committed to transforming the recreational boating industry with innovative connected boat technology. In 2015, we participated in the EU-funded IMPACT acceleration program, which laid the foundation for our growth.
